Tuesday Tidbits: BOTHELL MUSEUM part 3

Bothell Museum Part 3: The HANNAN HOUSE

The Living Room & Parlor

Since I have so many pictures, I decided to split the downstairs into two parts (the living room & parlor, and save the kitchen & dining room for another post), then I'll show the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom.

This is the William Hannan Home built in 1893.
This Pioneer Residence was built in 1893 by
Wm. Hannan for his bride Mimi Campbell, daughter of
Robt. and MaryAnn Bothell Campbell. Mr. Hannan who came to
Bothell in 1889, was founder of W.A. Hannan Mercantile
on Bothell's main St. & was Postmaster from 1894-1898
& active in Political & Civic affairs. Each room has been
decorated & restored as close to the
original state as possible.

A knitting basket with what looks like
carding tools as well.

I believe these are the Bothells the town is named after.
I love seeing these old photographs of people.
This might be the Hannans.

This is a beautiful piece with the scroll-wood design.

This corner looks cozy with the chair and lamp lit.
I might just curl up there and read a book.

Pump Organ
These are two different information cards for this pump organ.
I think they show that this organ changed hands a time or two.

I hope you enjoyed these pictures from Bothell's past.

THE WIDOW'S PLIGHT ~ A sweet historical romance that will tug at your heart. This is book 1 in the Quilting Circle series.
Washington State, 1893
When Lily Lexington Bremmer arrives in Kamola with her young son, she’s reluctant to join the social center of her new community, the quilting circle, but the friendly ladies pull her in. She begins piecing a sunshine and shadows quilt because it mirrors her life. She has a secret that lurks in the shadows and hopes it doesn’t come out into the light. Dark places in her past are best forgotten, but her new life is full of sunshine. Will her secrets cast shadows on her bright future?
Widower Edric Hammond and his father are doing their best to raise his two young daughters. He meets Lily and her son when they arrive in town and helps her find a job and a place to live. Lily resists Edric’s charms at first but finds herself falling in love with this kind, gentle man and his two darling daughters. Lily has stolen his heart with her first warm smile, but he’s cautious about bringing another woman into his girls’ lives due to the harshness of their own mother.
Can Edric forgive Lily her past to take hold of a promising chance at love?
